Coming from Izhevsk the name 0:28 is probably unknown to most electronica listeners, but this highly positive album is actually an exceptional electronic adventure. From the very first track this album is very joyful and cheerful – you are surrounded by cosmic birds and butterflies. It almost sounds like a soundtrack for a Russian children’s cartoon about space and astronauts.
Some of the tracks take us back to the mid 90’s, with similarity to Orbital and Black Dog (check out Aziatka – amazing track!), but in a more positive way. Tracks like TLF sound closer to American idm, and Marumari comes to mind immediately. Most of the album is quite upbeat and fast moving, but towards the end it becomes calm and peaceful, Nose is beautiful and reminds of the first mu-ZIQ releases.
The closing track is perhaps the perfect accompaniment for slow-motion space tango - everything is floating and very very relaxed… Great release!.
