D. C. LaRue grew up in Connecticut, but after high school and two years in Art school, D. C. moved to the Big Apple and became a successful album sleeve graphic designer. Through his work with album covers he would become friends with the guy who would be able to turn his musical ideas onto tape and vinyl. Their cooperation paid off right away and «Cathedrals» became an instant hit. After that he actually, unintentionally, created the first Hip Hop break.
